These first three songs remind me of Lawrence in Winter. I got all three albums at the Lawrence Library and listened to them in the snow.

6. The Walkmen - "The Rat" I'm sure you've all heard this song before, but in case you haven't...
7. The Morning Benders - "Excuses"
8. Of Montreal - "We Were Born the Mutants Again with Leafling" Lots of people hate on Of Montreal... with good reason. They are corny and silly and pretty inconsistent. But this album, and this song in particular, should teach us to ignore broad stereotypes. sometimes.
9. Amiina - "Sexfaldur" Such a beautiful song, we played this at our wedding.

ReplyDeletei can't stop listening to the rat! i don't know if i've heard it before but i love love love it! CHRIS do you recommend other walkmen songs for me to download? i've seen them live and they are amazing but dont hav any records. this makes me want to download songs and see them live again
